The purpose of the Traffic Signal Technician is to ensure the proper installation and maintenance of the City's traffic control devices by performing traffic signal and roadway lighting maintenance and repair, installing and maintaining fiber optic equipment, performing signal installations and programming and ensuring proper traffic signal operation.
Other duties include maintaining knowledge of current advances within the field, training employees and interacting with other City employees and citizens.
A High School Diploma or GED with six months of advanced study or training in a junior college, vocational, business, technical or correspondence school and four years of experience in the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices required.
Must have a Class A CDL license.
International Municipal Signal Association Workzone level I and International Municipal Signal Association Traffic Signal level II certifications desirable but not required.
Pay Range: $14.72- $23.55/hour DOQ
