Jobing Description

Maintain the City's utilities by replacing and installing water meters for residential, commercial, apartment and industrial customers. Other duties include working collections for water bills; replacing meter boxes; repairing leaks; replacing cutoff valves and water meter registers; operating various equipment such as torches, leak detectors, pumps, metal detectors; and interacting with other City employees and the general public. Meter reading will be required.

Requires: High school diploma or GED and 1+ years related experience.

Valid Texas Class C driver's license required. A Water Distribution Class C license & Confined Space Entry Certification preferred; ability to obtain within one year of employment is required. Must be able to work occasional evenings.


Pay Range: $12.53 - $16.29 DOQ
