Maintain and repair all City owned equipment and fleet vehicles by performing preventive maintenance, and repairing equipment. Other duties include completing administrative duties.
Some duties are, but not limited to:
Performing preventive maintenance functions by replacing brake pads, changing the oil, changing out alternators, changing batteries, replacing tires, performing tune ups and replacing hoses, filters and nozzles.
Repairs equipment by replacing transmissions performing welding on vehicles, rebuilding engines, repairing electrical systems, replacing radiators, replacing hydraulic cylinders and installing equipment.
A High School diploma or GED, and six months advanced study or training in mechanics and 2+ years mechanic experience.
A valid Texas Class C required. Class B CDL and an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is a plus.
Pay Range: $13.57 - $18.50/hr DOQ
