Jobing Description

The City of Grand Prairie is looking for a Crew Leader at the Landfill.

This position will supervise crews engaged in Landfill heavy equipment operation by assigning work duties, observing and monitoring work tasks, providing feedback to employees, evaluating work performance, and assisting employees to correct deficiencies.

Monitors daily work by ensuring a safe working environment for crews, planning for and securing needed materials and equipment for solid waste management, ensuring daily work is completed in a timely manner, inspecting work and providing solutions as needed. Maintains equipment by inspecting equipment for damage and performing routine maintenance. Other duties include interacting with other City employees and citizens.

Skills / Requirements

Requires a high School diploma or GED and 4+ years experience in landfill operations. Valid Texas Class B CDL driver's license REQUIRED.

Pay Range: $15.97/hour depending on qualifications
