Jobing Description

This position is a back-up School Crossing Guard position.

Responsible for providing assistance to children crossing streets, walking to and from school. Duties include holding a sign and blowing a whistle to control traffic and escorting elementary children safely across various streets and intersections. Duties will require working outdoors under a variety of weather conditions.

Assignment location may vary.

Employee must be able to work a maximum of 3 hours daily. Must be able to walk and stand for 1 ? hours in the morning and 1 ? hours in the afternoon. Schedules will occasionally vary to accommodate early dismissal days and school holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
Must have access to reliable transportation
Must have the ability to communicate in English
Must have a valid Texas Class C driver's license or Identification Card and valid automobile insurance.

Applicant must pass a drug test, criminal history background check and social security number verification check.

Starting Pay Rate: $9.00/hour
Closing Date: 11/16/12
